Chests of drawers

Vintage bank of drawers consisting of a heavy plywood frame holding 59 small metal industrial drawers, 48 of which are around shoe box size, with 11 smaller ones above. They look to have been made in the 1950s or 1960s, probably: they have their original bronze colour paint, bar five that have been repainted. The carcass has been made later in thick plywood: it had several layers of paint which we've stripped. Its shelves slope backwards slightly to hold the drawers in. We've made a top plank for it out of a piece of antique mahogany, which gives it a more elegant look, we think. It'll easily unscrew if you don't like it. Condition is pretty good: structurally it's sound and the drawers all pull fine, if a little stiff here and there. There are lots of bumps and scrapes on this piece as you might expect in an industrial piece of this age. Some light rust on the drawers. One or two are a bit rusty inside (see pics) and there are some bent handles. Five of the drawers have been painted over in a copper coloured spray paint. There's a bit of old rot in the back bottom right corner (see pics); not really bad enough to replace though and it's all dry now. There's blue paint in the top shelf..stupidly forgot there were no drawers in that section: I'll try to get that stripped too. Dimensions: 119cm x 33cm x 112cm high
